LINDA or Leth! Scots Mare!
[8th Sept 2005]
Scotland are reeling today at the shock news that Phil Brown has withdrawn
from the Scotland team at the 11th hour. Phil has land a top job that he can't miss during
Cup weekend and will leave Scotland struggling to retain the Cup. Phils combined 65 points in 2004
was hugely influential in winning the Cup.
However there is hope! In Braveheart Ian Letham who
may like a pheonix has emerged from the golf ashes to answer his nations call.
If the Scot fair to get Leth, the Cup could see the first Lady Player in Linda Cowan.

Peter Takes England to Peover GC
Peter Blake (Englands 2005 Captain) has worked hard to arrange the 2005 Cup at Peeover Golf Club the water hazard course not far from Knutsford. Its on this course that the England Captain plans to general a win that at this time seems most unlikely after the efforts of 2004. Personnally for Pete, 2004 was an embaressment. The "Worst Stableford"score for a record 4th year left Pete bitter and determined to see England pick up the 2005 cup. There is big change in the Blake game, lessons planned over the next few months will see the back of the moving grip and now Ian Letham looks No.1 to pick up the Blake Challenge Tankard at Peover this year.
